This course can be taken after completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving skills and knowledge, so you can start right after earning your PADI Advance Open Water Diver certification.
The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives.
You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
You will complete some of the most popular Adventures Dives – including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives, plus Boat, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Drift Dive.
You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
The Advanced Open Water Course is a fairly easiy courses to complete, as there are no quizzes, exams, or pool sessions.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course consists of 5 different adventure dives.
You are required to do a knowledge review for each dive, either before or after the dive.
DAY 1
After a quick assessment, One of our Instructors will take you for a dive off the shore.
This Dive will include the Navigation Dive and 1 Elective Dive.
If conditions permit we will be able to conduct a 3rd dive (elective dive). This is ideal for students who want to complete the course over 2 days.
DAY 2
We will be heading out to one of our Favourite Advance Dive site. "Nine Mile".
We will head out to a alternate site like Marys Rock or even Fido Reef if conditions is not acceptable at Nine Mile.
First Dive will be the Deep Dive which is the all round favourite.
The second dive is a eklective dive which may include Drift, Boat, Search and Recovery or even the Fish ID.
DAY 3
This will be a single elective dive which can include the Night Dive.
ACHIEVEMENT
Once graduated you will be certified as a PADI Advance Open Water Diver.
If you are newly certifed, you may not know what scuba gear you may need to buy.
But once you have enrolled into the Advance Open Water course, the act says "I'm committed to really enjoy Scuba Diving"

How is it different from the PADI Open Water Diver Course?
During the PADI Open Water Diver Course you learn the critical skills needed for scuba diving during your Knowledge Development, confined water dives and open water dives.
During your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will complete 5 Adventure Dives which focuses on a particular activity or skill.
What should I expect?
First of all, you should expect to have a lot of fun while completing your Advanced Open Water Course, and expect to become a more skilled and more confident diver.
More specifically, though what should I expect?
Well, for each Adventure Dive, you will be required to complete a theory portion – this can be done at home or in a classroom setting.
You’ll also need to complete some basic knowledge reviews to ensure you have a sound knowledge of the theory behind each dive.
The Advanced Open Water course is made up of five adventure dives.
The Deep Adventure Dive and the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive are compulsory and will give you some essential skills to become a more competent diver.
You also get to choose another three Adventure Dives to help build your skill set.
What Adventure Dives should I Choose?
The other three Adventure Dives however are elective that you could choose from . Options range from Digital Underwater Imaging, to Peak Performance Buoyancy or Night Diver.

Do I Need a Medical
Although a diving medical will not be required, it is nevertheless strongly recommended.
Further, a diving medical may uncover conditions or issues you may not be aware of, fornexample ear, nose and throat, or lung function issues, all of which could expose you to the risk of serious injury or death while diving.
Australian Standard AS 4005.1 and SPUMS both recommend a diving medical be completed. Please read carefully through the medical
questionnaire provided. If you answer ‘ÝES’ to ANY of the questions, a medical will be
required before we can start your course.
