PADI DIVE MASTER

The First Step to Becoming a PADI Professional

We firmly believe that the best way to become a confident PADI Divemaster is through an internship-style program. Our Divemaster internship typically takes between six and eight weeks, but there’s no pressure to rush. Whether you want to complete the course in seven days or take a year, we’re happy to accommodate your pace. If you haven’t yet logged the 40 dives required to start, don’t worry—we’ll help you complete those dives at minimal cost before your internship officially begins.

A Life-Changing Experience

The PADI Divemaster internship can be a transformative experience, just as it has been for all of us. This training hones your leadership skills, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist PADI instructors with students. It’s a crucial step on the path to becoming an Open Water Scuba Instructor. Your time with Kirra Dive will likely be one of the most memorable periods of your life—not only because you’ll be diving regularly, but also because of the incredible people you’ll meet and work alongside. While the course demands focus and commitment, we place a strong emphasis on having fun. After all, diving is about enjoyment, and your role will be to ensure safety without taking away the excitement.

An Important Decision

Choosing to undertake your PADI Divemaster internship is your entry point into the professional diving community. This course lays the foundation for your diving career, providing more knowledge and experience than any other program. Through a combination of self-study and expert guidance from a PADI Instructor, you’ll elevate your skills to a professional level. Where you complete your Divemaster training matters—it can shape your future in diving. Take your time making this decision; it’s one of the most important choices you’ll make for your career.

What is a Divemaster Internship and What Will I Be Doing?

Our Divemaster Internship is hands-on, real-world dive training. Rather than following a strict classroom schedule, you’ll learn by doing — gaining practical experience while being mentored by our professional team.

You’ll become part of the Kirra Dive crew, helping on real courses and trips from Day 1. This is not a “free course for free labour” setup — your instructors are committed to coaching, mentoring, and investing their time into developing your skills.

You'll build judgment, leadership, and confidence through active involvement in courses ranging from Discover Scuba Diving through to Rescue Diver, and by guiding certified divers at a variety of dive sites in real-world conditions. This method ensures you gain genuine, valuable experience to become a capable dive professional — not just tick off requirements.

You’ll also attend theory sessions, skill workshops, and in-water practice with one of our instructors, gradually taking on more responsibility as you progress.

How Much Does It Cost?

The Divemaster Internship course is priced at $1,299. This includes all training and coaching.

Training materials are not included and must be purchased separately. If you already own PADI Divemaster materials, please check they are current and include the required PADI decal, which is necessary for certification processing.

Training materials can be purchased through us at a discounted rate of $300, with flexible payment options available.

We offer a payment plan where materials are shipped once four payments are completed. You can begin the course as soon as your first payment is received.
