posiablities so many sites to dive, from the Shark Gutters of 9 Mile Reef to the
Deep Dark Caves of the Kingscliff Pinnicles. Im sure we will have you amazed at
the landscape and fish life we are so lucky to dive regularly.
2nd
TANK
Cook Island is an easily accessable dive site,
approximately 800m offshore from Fingal Head and 4km Southeast of Tweed River
Bar in Northern NSW, the Southern end of the Gold Coast, Australia. This Boat
Voucher is valid for 90 days.
This is a great second dive, obviously we want
to keep to a shallower dive and find calm water
for a cup a tea.
TRAVEL TIME (QLD)
- 20-25 minutes boat ride along the Tweed River
- A light bar crossing
- Temperate, subtropical and tropical species of fish
crustaceans and molluscs are abundant in the complex rocky reefs

Alberta Wreck
Located off Kingscliff Reef
at a depth of 12 metres is the Alberta which which sunk about 100 plus years
ago.
A very
easy shallow dive site with minial current but is only acessable if swells is
less than a metre.
You will encounter huge wobbygongs, electric rays
ocassionally on this site.
Kingscliff Pinnicles
Also called the King Pin
this site ranges from a depth of 12metres to 30metres.
It is known for
its cooler temp at depth and we do see the Ocassional Grey nurse sharks
during the colder months.
This is definitely a Advance site and enriched air
is highly recommended to have alomost limitless time to explore the
depth.
Bolders
30 metres dive site off Cook
island
9 Mile reef 28m (Kristies Fav)
Located 4.5 miles off the coast and one of the
Best Advance sites. Depth Ranges from 8metres on top of the reef to
26metres.
The gutters on Nine mile is known for its Grey Nurse shark, There
is usually 20 plus during winter months.
The South wall is one of the best
wall dives. You will encounter leopard sharks and eagle rays especially during
the warmer summer months.
Nine Mile is know for its
currents.
5 Mile reef
Depth 22m
Wommin reef
Just south of Cook island is Wommin
Reef.
Depth ranges from 12 metres to 21 metres on this
site.
Fido Wreck
The Best drift is the "Fido's
Drift"
Depth Ranges from 10 Metres all the way down to 21 metres.
Named
aftet the Fidos Wreck, the palagic marine life on this site is unbelievable

In the event you
cancel your booking with us, the following will
apply.
- Bookings cancelled within 48 and 24 hours of the tour date will incur a 50% cancellation charge.
- Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled departure for any reason, will incur a 100% cancellation charge.
- Please do let us know asap if you may arrive late.
- No refund or compensation will be given for any unused equipment or prepaid/pre-booked courses or guides in the event you are unable to complete the entire tour.
Medical Conditions
- Some medical conditions may preclude a person from diving, please check the medical conditions section on the PADI website here:https://www.padi.com/downloads
- Please note that any medicals required should be completed well before the day of trip. If in any doubt please contact us prior to your trip date for instruction.
- Upon arriving at our diveshop, and before commencing any dive activities, we will require all customers to complete our liability forms. All information providedmust be strictly accurate.
- If during the tour it becomes apparent that a form has been completed incorrectly, by omission or false statement, we reserve the right to prevent any customer from undertaking any SCUBA Diving / Snorkelling activities whilst on board our vessel. Any decision made in this regard will be at the absolute discretion of the DiveSupervisor aboard the vessel.
Scuba Diving
- We require all Certified Divers to present a valid Certification Card. Failure to show a Certification Card may result in the customer not being able to dive.
- Please contact us prior to trip date if you have not dived within the last 6 months.
- You must be Advance certified and dived within the last 6 months.
- Our tours are subject to the risks and perils of SCUBA diving in changeable conditionsnin an open water environment. We reserve the right, for our customer’s safetyand the safety of our crew, to prevent any participation from SCUBA diving at oursole discretion.
- No compensation is offered if you should be unable to complete all offered dives at the fault of your own.
- We strongly recommend a wait of 24 hours before flying after diving.
- You must not participate in SCUBA diving or snorkelling whilst under the influence of alcohol or any drugs. We will refuse entry to the water in the event we have reasonable grounds to expect a customer has consumed alcohol or drugs within a timeframe that could, in any way, affect their ability to SCUBA dive/ snorkel safely.
- Any decision made in this regard will be at the absolute discretion of theDive Supervisor aboard the vessel.
- If any equipment or property belonging to us is damaged or lost we reserve the right to charge the customer responsible to make good the damage or loss.
- To participate in SCUBA diving / snorkelling ALL Customers are required to agree to, and sign, our liability forms relevant to the activity they will be undertaking.
- Rental dive equipment used is BCD, Regulator with 1st Stage, Primary and alternate 2nd Stage, Gauges with Dive Computer, emergency signalling equipment, includinga high visibility signalling device, for example, a safety sausage; and an audible and visual signalling devices device (e.g. a whistle). If your equipment varies from the above, you must contact us prior to boarding the vessel.
- Divers must check rental gear or personal gear is in working order.
- If rental is needed please confirm sizes the day before trip.
- Any person under the age of 18 must have the relevant liability formssigned by a Parent or Guardian.
- Minimum numbers are required for all trips and courses. Academy of Scuba will endeavour to meet our required minimum numbers, if however, we do not meet minimum numbers you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.
