The 72X first stage is compact and incredibly robust. The body of the first stage is made in chrome-plated brass with a 'pearl' finish. There are eight low-pressure ports: four horizontal and four vertical. All eight are equipped with 'Natural DFC' for high airflow in all conditions. The configuration possibilities for technical and recreational diving are endless. The two high-pressure ports are pre-oriented for optimal use. The 72X first stage is equipped with Mares Auto-Sealing Technology (AST), which provides excellent protection against the intrusion of water or unwanted substances. A very simple mechanical solution keeps the internal mechanism dry and free from obstructions, thus offering superior reliability.
Ultra second stage
The innovative Twin Power System allows the diver to control the speed of airflow. A simple twist increases airflow when required. The Ultra second stage is pneumatically balanced and offers comfortable, effortless breathing in every situation. A Superflex hose connects the first stage to the second stage and provides support and flexibility for comfortable diving.

The Mares Prime delivers comfort and style in a BCD that will amaze you. It’s a standard jacket BCD with the Mares Standard Integrated Weight System. The Prime BCD provides stowage for your octopus regulator and gauges, with roomy zippered pockets and 5-heavy-duty techno-polymer D-rings for accessory storage and attachment. The Mares Prime’s air cell is made from durable Cordura 420 nylon with a polyurethane laminated interior. The BCD has a mono-plate backpack system with a handle. Mares Prime is ideal for people who want to get started with their diving adventure.
The Mares Prime is a Jacket Style BCD providing ample Lift with 14.2 to 24 kg (31.3 lbs. to 52.9 lbs) of buoyancy in its size range. Shoulder straps, adjustable chest strap and a waist strap are all equipped with squeeze-style side-release buckles that along with the adjustable cummerbund provide a custom fit and ease of donning/doffing.
Buoyancy control is established with the Ergo inflator and two rear quick-dump/over-pressure relief valves. The Ergo Inflator has been designed according to ergonomic guidelines. Intuitive to use and offers maximum grip, the Ergo Inflator comes standard with a 3/8-inch threaded low-pressure quick-disconnect inflator hose. The Prime BCD weighs 2.8 kg (6.2 lbs).
