Vanuatu Espiritu Santo - Allan Power Dive Tours
History
At 09:30 hours on the morning of October 26th, 1942, amid World War II, the SS Coolidge struck U.S mines and ran aground. This prompted 5,340 troops to calmly disembark, leaving behind an underwater time capsule teeming with battle gear, equipment and memories. Now, coral-encrusted guns, medical supplies and opulent fittings await divers, alongside a vibrant array of marine life including turtles, moray eels and lionfish. But The Coolidge is more than a Pacific dive in Vanuatu; it’s a WWII-inspired sanctuary offering rest, relaxation and an exciting diving Santo experience.
